The Hanover Ag Bull Riders Canada Invitational is the largest 2-day bull riding event in Manitoba and a highlight of the BRC season, drawing in the best riders from across the country, looking to claim double BRC points and $12,000 added! Throughout the two-day event, we saw some outstanding rides and Jeremy Maisonneuve once again proved why he deserves to be at the top of the leaderboard.

Day 1 started off with some close chances but it was a pair of identical 83.5 scores from Gilmar Santana and Marshall Senger to first get onto the board. Gilmar rode RKO Chain Smoker followed immediately by Marshall's ride on MVB Buzz Bee. Shortly after that, Cade Christensen from Red Deer, AB rode MVB Night Blood for 77, to which Jeremy Masionneuve topped the round with his 85 point ride on MBB Fudge Puddles. The Paraguayan cowboy Fabian Dueck ended the round after 2 re-rides, able to reach the buzzer and scored 81.5 points on the bull named Big Country.
The championship round saw 2 successful rides from previous riders. Gilmar Santana rode MBB Sock Monkey for 87 points, the highest so far. However, in the final ride of the night, Jeremy Masionneuve took on the many-time Bull of the Event winner How High from RKO Bucking Bulls for 88 points! This outstanding ride pushed him to the top of the leaderboard and secured the win on day number 1.
Day 2, we were down a rider. Jeremy took his chances and did not end up riding in the final day of the event. Hoping that his success from the night before would be enough, he went down the road to compete at the CCA rodeo in Virden. This left an opening for other riders to try and take the event win and gain some extra points in the BRC standings. In the long round, we saw rides from Wyatt Fenning, Chase Skene, Marshall Senger, Hunter Ference, and highest of the round, Gilmar Santana with 83 points on MVB Buzz Bee.
In the final round of the final day, just 2 riders were able to make the 8 second buzzer. 2022 BRC champion Fabian Dueck, who is has retirement on the mind, made his return to a familiar arena where he was a previous winner and rode MBB Old School Kool for 84.5 points. However, it was the number 2 cowboy Hayden Mulvey with the highest score of the night - 86.5 points on MBB Real Bad Raisin.
When the dust settled, Hayden won the day but it was Jeremy's 173 points from day 1 that secured him the event win, the trophy, and $5700 cash! This win helps cement his place at the top of the BRC standings as Crossfire Bullriding's busiest month comes to a close. Crossfire's next event takes place in Eriksdale in October and is one of the last events before the finals.
